Farmers markets are fun places. I love checking out all the local produce, smelling the fresh flowers, and browsing the jars of canned goods. For a couple years now I’ve been stopping by the Midtown Market on Fridays for a little bit of produce or bread for the weekend. A unique thing about the Midtown Market is that the owner, Matt, drives around and picks up produce and products from local farmers and sells it for them. So, when I stop by and pick out my peaches, okra, and bread that came from three different places rather than pay three times I just pay once. They take cash, check and even credit card!
This year Urban Agrarian (the company that puts on the Midtown Market) has really grown. I haven’t had a chance to visit, but they’ve got a store front now so people can swing by all week for local produce and products. Everyone that works at the Midtown Market is always super nice and helpful. If you’re in the neighborhood and looking for some great local produce or products definitely check out Urban Agrarian!
